Spring Replacement

from $380

Broken torsion or extension spring replaced fast.

The springs carry the entire weight of your door — most are rated for roughly 7,000 to 10,000 open-and-close cycles before they let go. A break usually announces itself with a loud bang, after which the door won't lift or feels impossibly heavy. Don't keep pressing the remote: an opener isn't built to haul an unbalanced door and will strip its own gears trying. We replace springs in matched pairs so both sides carry equal load and wear at the same rate.

Opener Repair

from $180

Motor, gears, remotes and safety sensors.

Most opener faults come down to one part rather than the whole unit. If the motor hums but nothing moves, the nylon drive gear has almost certainly stripped. If the door starts down and then reverses on its own, it is nearly always the photo-eye sensors being knocked out of alignment or force settings drifting. Dead remotes, a burnt capacitor or a failed logic board are the other usual suspects — all cheaper to fix than to replace.

Cable Replacement

from $320

Snapped or frayed cables restrung safely.

Lift cables run from the bottom brackets up to the drums and take the load the springs release. When one frays, rusts through or jumps off its drum, the door goes crooked, grinds against the track or jams part-way open. This is the one job we'd ask you not to try yourself: the bottom brackets stay under spring tension even with the door closed, which is where most DIY garage door injuries happen.

Door Maintenance

from $120

Full tune-up: rollers, hinges, balance, lube.

Most emergency calls trace back to wear that was already visible months earlier. An annual tune-up catches a fraying cable or a spring losing tension before it strands your car in the garage, and a properly balanced, lubricated door puts far less strain on the opener — which is the expensive part. Worth booking before a Calgary winter in particular: cold thickens old grease and brittle rollers tend to give out on the first hard freeze.

New Door Installation

from $2,195

Supply & install of new insulated doors.

Replacing beats repairing once panels are dented or rusting through, the door has been patched more than once, or you're tired of heating the street. The garage door is the largest opening in most houses, so in Calgary an insulated sectional steel door with proper weather seals makes an attached garage noticeably warmer and quieter. We measure the opening, walk you through R-values and finishes, and quote the whole job before anything is ordered.

Commercial Service

Free quote

Overhead & roll-up doors for businesses.

Overhead sectional, roll-up and sliding doors for shops, warehouses and loading bays. Commercial doors run many times the cycles of a residential one, so springs, bearings and openers wear on a completely different schedule and need heavier-duty parts. Because a blocked bay costs you money by the hour, we aim to get the opening usable on the first visit and schedule any follow-up work around your hours.
