Why Homeowners Choose Crestline

Four promises — and what each one actually means in practice.

Every garage door company says same-day service and fair pricing. Those words are free, so here's what we mean by them, in enough detail that you can hold us to it — or compare us against whoever else you're calling.

Same-day service

A broken door is not a "next Tuesday" problem — your car is either stuck inside or your house is standing open. Most repairs we take before mid-afternoon get done that day, because we work Calgary only and a technician is rarely more than a quadrant away.

What we won't do is promise a slot we can't make. If the day is full, you'll be told on the phone rather than left waiting.

Upfront pricing

Prices for the common jobs are published on the services page — you can see roughly what a spring or a cable costs before anyone knocks on your door. On site you get the actual price before work starts, not after.

No weekend or evening surcharge. And no bait-and-switch: the trade has a reputation for a low phone quote that grows once the technician is in your garage, and that's precisely what published prices are there to prevent.

Warranty included

Standard repairs carry a one-year warranty on parts and labour. If the same part fails again inside that window, we come back and make it right at no charge.

It also means we don't fit the cheapest possible part to win a quote — we're the ones who'd have to return for it.

Licensed & insured

Garage door springs and cables hold enough tension to cause serious injury, and the work happens on your property. Licensed, insured technicians mean the risk sits with us and our insurer, not with you.

Worth asking any company you call — plenty of operators in this trade can't answer it.

How a call usually goes

No mystery, no waiting around all day.

  1. You call and describe the symptom. A bang then nothing usually means a spring. A humming motor that doesn't move the door is normally a stripped gear. We'll often know the likely cause and the price range before we leave.
  2. We give you a time window. Not "sometime today" — an actual window, so you're not stuck at home waiting.
  3. The technician diagnoses and quotes on site. You see what's worn and hear what it costs. Nothing starts until you agree.
  4. The job gets done and the door gets tested. Balance, travel limits and the safety reverse all checked before we leave — that last one is what stops a door closing on a child or a car.
